Description of Services

Morphological Identification

Macro Specimen: Notable features from samples will be observed in its entirety and under a microscope

​Micro Specimen: Colony morphology and other features will be observed under a microscope 

Certificate of Identification will be given within 14 working days from acquisition of samples. Expect that requests for more than 10 samples to take a longer time. Specimen will only be identified until the genus level.

Molecular Identification

DNA from samples will be extracted and sequenced to determine the identity of the organism up to the species level.




Certificate of Identification will be given within 21 working days from acquisition of samples. Expect that requests for more than 10 samples to take a longer time. Specimen will be identified up to the species level. 

Antifungal Sensitivity Assay

Fungal samples will be tested from various antifungal compounds using an in vitro setup. 





Certificate of results showing the percent inhibition of the fungal specimen will be given 21 working days from acquisition of samples. Expect that requests for more than 5 samples to take a longer time.
